Qi has became the most popular standard in the world since 2012. Many smartphone users have to buy 12V adapters to power up in the car. Now Toyota will integrate Qi wireless charging technology to in-console installation of their first production car flagship sedan in 2013.
With the upgraded center stack, you are able to get wireless charging for Qi-enabled mobile phones and tablet devices, such as LG Nexus 4, Nokia Lumia 920, so that the console wouldn't be cluttered. Toyota's gas-only Avalon Limited with the package is sold at $42,195 and a hybrid costs $43,945.
