How to Mount Nexus 4 in Linux Ubuntu

If you want to transfer important data files from LG Nexus 4 to your Ubuntu computer server or laptop, just pluging it into linux may be not working. Because you need to mount the storage SD card of phone. Here is the tutorial about how to connect Android to your Ubuntu.

* On your smartphone. go to Settings > about phone > Developer Options and enable USB debugging.
* Launch the Linux terminal window and enter listed below to the end of the file and save it.
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="1004", MODE="0666"
* Type in the following commands from the terminal window.
 sudo chmod +x /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules
 sudo service udev restart
* Change the device's permissions.
sudo mkdir /media/nexus4
chmod 755 /media/nexus4
* Connect your LG N4 to Linux systems via USB cable and turn MTP model on.
* Type the command in the terminal.
sudo mtpfs -o allow_other /media/nexus4
If you are using Samsung Nexus 10 tablet, just change the device name to nexus10. Now the smartphone should be mount successfully with your Ubuntu or other Linux computers.
