How to disable 3G mobile data on Nexus 4

After I bought a Google Nexus 4 smart phone, I want to adjust something with it. I just use it connect to internet from my home WiFi network and have the mobile data limits, so I need to disable 3G mobile data alone for saving more battery life and data usage. How can I fix the issues?

* Turn it off in the Settings. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Data usage, and un-check "Data enabled" option.
* Another good solution is download and install the free version of Juice Defender from Google Play. The Android app not only automatically turn off your 3G/4G while you are connected via WiFi , but also improves the devices performances.
