Use nexus 7 as Secondary Extended Monitor Display

When you are using your Mac or Windows PC computer, adding multiple monitor displayss to maximize the viewable area would definitely increase productivity. With iDisplay for Android app, you can easily turn your nexus 7 tablet into a 2nd or 3rd desktop display and park small but useful application interfaces to keep an eye.

It is easy enough to install iDisplay on nexus 7 without configuration. For Windows XP/vista/7 or Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and later, you need to run the server program and install a virtual display driver. Then do a configuration and adjust the firewall and reboot all devices. Works flawlessly. I use N7 as an additional screen for my laptop to read my email via WiFi. Perfect for static but it choke on anything animated, such as videos. There are glitches and it improves over time.

  1. This is what I'd like to do with my Blackberry -- use the Nexus 7 as a second screen. Would that work?
