The place where I work has Ethernet LAN, but no WiFi network. I was wondering if it is possible to connect my android tablet to the internet via ethernet. The nexus 7 is only haing Micro USBbut support USB OTG.
I think a USB to ethernet adapter would work. After buying the Plugable USB 2.0 to 10/100 Fast Ethernet LAN Network RJ45 Adapter (ASIX AX88772 chipset) from Amazon, I plug everything into the adapter/OTG cable and then the tablet. Nexus 7 works great so far. The adapter performs 10/100 Mbps fast ethernet and is easy connectivity.
There is no notification after plugging. To see its static IP address, just go into the Settings for wifi. Notes that the adapter will be turnned off when you shut off the screen.
