ConnectBot SSH client for Nexus 7

The Linux server administrator needs a good remote administration toolkit, such SHH client. It's important to have the ability to secure shell into the UNIX-based machine running a secure Shell server to do maintenance task. ConnectBot is a free open-source Secure Shell (SSH) client that help you serve up ssh connections on Nexus 7 over a WiFi connection.

ConnectBot is easy to use and support screen gesture and private/public key export. You can manage simultaneous SSH sessions and create secure tunnels. But it has limited functionality. I can't type $, *, & common symbols and use <Ctrl> key and Caps Lock.

  1. Try adding a different input method. Look in the market for "Full Keyboard" or "Hacker's Keyboard". There are some other input methods that will give you most, but not all of those. You can tap on the screen in ConnectBot to bring up a couple of small icons briefly. In the lower left will be and , but I find using one of those keyboards easier.
