Nexus 7 screen won't rotate issues

Update:
Today my Nexus 7 screen will no longer auto rotate and can't turn to landscape mode anymore. With using the Chrome and mail app, I am not able to use the bigger keyboard to text in in landscape? How can I fix the screen rotation issues?

* On your Nexus 7 tablet, pull down the notification bar and click the lock icon to enable "rotate". Or go to Setting 》Device 》 Accessibility, check Auto-rotate screen.
* If you have already tried that and it's still not working, you need to do a factory reset for the device.

  1. I have the same issue but neither of these suggestions helped. It appears to be an issue with the Nexus 7 software or maybe even a hardware defect.

  2. The Auto-rotate check box is in under Accessibility not Display, a least in the JRO03D build.

  3. Looks like the auto lock feature In the accessibility menu is causing the lock problem.

Freemium app.. Work in all apps. Makes it feel more like Ipad.. Guess I'll buy after 7 days. No idea why it is not part of the OS..
