How to remove music from Google PLay on Nexus 7

Google is intruding in my Google Play music library and put some crap free music on my account. Everytime I choose shuffle on my Nexus 7 tablet, them will play and make me feel badly. How can I remove unwanted songs on Nexus 7?

All are stored in the cloud. If you need to delete music from your online Google Play music library, you must do that on your computer.

* Go to play.google.com/music from the browser to access the Google Play web player.
* In your library, select the album/song you want to delete, click "More" in the upper righthand corner and choose "Delete". You also hold down "Command" key in Mac or "Ctrl" key in Windows to select multiple songs to delete. Once you've done, that will make changes on your Nexus 7 tablet.

    1. Azim: Here's what I did to get rid of all the unwanted songs:
      after going to play.google.com/music,
on left of screen I selected "free and purchased"
      all songs appeared on screen..
      Click "more" in upper right
Click "select all" from drop down
      Click "more" again
      Click "delete" from drop down

      This worked for me

  4. I gather from posts that one must be synced on a PC to delete any music? Kinda sucks!!

  5. Transfered a lot of music from my PC to the N7 found it took up almost all of the memory and the Google player wouldn't even recognize most of it. Had to connect back to the PC to delete it. Guess I won't be bothering with music on this devise. That's two strikes against this tablet.

  7. Another reason why I am getting rid of this POS tablet....PC REQUIREMENTS!!! I'm trying to rid myself of those!!! Thus unit is not even 30 days old and the audio jack is non functional...really? No confidence in it at all.

  8. There is another way to remove music from your nexus without being synced to a PC. You have to download a File Manager App from the Play store and through the app you can look at all files you and folders that your device has and delete through there.

  9. I just randomly got music on my nexus. I don't know how it got there or even when. But I want it off and it's nowhere to be found. It's making me really mad. I don't like it. It's just different beats and now it's stuck on my device and automatically was saved onto my device.

  10. On the PC.

If you go into the PC and sign into your Google play account it will show you all of your music, click the song you would like to delete, the at the top it will say more (next to share and download) and it will have about 8 options click delete and it will automatically disappear, like I say, this is on the Pc.

    On the N7

To delete a song through the nexus, without a PC, you have to go to your music library (found on the hot seat) and click the album the song/s you want to delete. There is an upright arrow and if you click that you can select delete. I do hope this helps. For this, you don't need to download an app as you do it through the music manager provided.
