How to Put Nexus 7 Into Recovery Mode

Nexus 7's Recovery Mode is a special piece of software that gives you access to administrative functions. If you need to perform a factory reset, make backups or install the base system (ROM), just put your Nexus 7 tablet into Recovery Mode.

How to Put Nexus 7 Into Recovery Mode
* Power your tablet off first.
* Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons until the device powers on. A Android photo will lie on its back.
* Press Volume Down twice until "Recovery mode." appears. Then press Power to restart into "Recovery mode." An image of an Android with a Red triangle will display.

  1. After pressing the power button to put the device in recovery mode, I don't get an Android with a Red triangle. All I get is the word "Google" which stays there indefinitely.
